A Pink and Silver Card

Hello friends!  Today I have an elegant card to share with you using the April Creative Cafe' Kit - Petticoat Fashion plus the add-on stamp set, The Greatest Gift Of Life from The Rubber Cafe'. I really love the color combo of pink with silver/gray so I went with the very pretty patterned paper included in this kit to make my card.

This card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" or A2 size.  I cut the gray textured cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11" and folded it at 5 1/2" to create the base of the card.  I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4" and the pink/silver doily paper to 3 3/4 x 5" and adhered that to the white layer.   I die cut a small doily from the gray cardstock to layer the sentiment on.  Here is how I did the sentiment.

Stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock using gray ink.

Stamp one of the swirls in the stamp set around the sentiment using black ink.  I started at the top and stamped around my sentiment.

 

Then using scissors trim around the swirls and layer this onto the card!  I added the gray seam binding to finish this card.  Love theses colors!!

A Yellow and Gray Hello Card!

Hello friends!  Hope you are having a great day.  Today I want to share with you a project I created using the fun new April Creative Cafe' Kit - Petticoat Fashion.  This kit has some really fun and pretty images plus nice sentiments to use to make some really fun cards.  In both of the stamp sets, there are stamps that are a 2 step stamping flowers.  They are super pretty.   I created a quick video to show you how I stamped the flower images!  Super easy!

Here is my card....... 

I don't know about you but one of my favorite color combos is yellow and grey, so they patterned paper included in the April Kit is just perfect for me.  There are so many different color combos in this one paper paper!  Just love it all!

 

This card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2".  I used the metallic textured gray cardstock included in the kit along with the beautiful gray seam binding ribbon!  You can see how I layered the stamps together to create these flowers in my video tutorial.

A Congrats Cupcake!

Hello friends!  Today I have a fun tent topper card to share with you using the supplies from the Creative Cafe' Kit - Special Celebration.  I really love making this type of card.  I think it looks so cute but it still fits into a regular envelope so you can mail it to that special person.

To create this card, cut a piece of the kraft cardstock to 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 and fold it at 4 1/4".  Cut a piece of the patterned paper to 4 x 4" square and adhere to the front of the card.   Die cut a scallop circle from the pink patterned paper and die cut a classic circle from the white cardstock.  All of these papers and cardstock are included in your kit!  Stamp the cupcake image onto the white cardstock and color using Spectrum Noir markers.  After you color the cupcake, fussy cut it and adhere it onto the die cut scalloped circle.  Using a ruler, adhere the die cut scalloped circle so that the top of the circle is at the 5 1/2" mark.  That will make your card an A2 sized card - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2".  Here is a close-up.

I added the sentiment along the bottom and the seam binding around the middle to finish the card.  This card will fit into an A2 size envelope and shouldn't need extra postage.  You know that is always a plus with me!  LOL    It's also time for the April Creative Cafe' kit to be introduced.  I will have projects to share with you starting next week.  It's super cute.  You can check out HERE.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Best Wishes Easel Card

Hello friends!  Hope you had a blessed Easter holiday.  Things are really great here in Missouri today.  It's the last day of my youngest daughter's spring break so we are going to enjoy the outdoors as much as we can - if I can ever get her up!  LOL  She likes to sleep late!  Today I am excited to share with you this fun easel card I created using the March Creative Cafe' Kit of the Month - Special Celebration and the add-on stamp set - Little Cupcake.  Here is my card....

To begin, you will need to cut the pink cardstock to  4 1/4 x 8 1/2".  You will also need a piece of pink cardstock cut to 4 1/4 x 4 1/4".    

 

 

After cutting the base of the card, I scored the card at 4 1/4 and at 6 3/8".  I folded the card in half at the 6 3/8".  The top of the card gets fold at 4 1/4" to create the easel.  See above picture......

I cut a piece of patterned paper for the bottom inside of the card.  Then I cut a strip of cardstock and patterned paper to pop-up with foam squares so that the easel portion has something to prop it up.

This is my piece of 4 1/4" square cardstock that will be adhered to the easel fold.  I used scor-tape for extra strong hold!

Here is my card before I added the seam binding and the sentiment.  This was super easy to create and you can just fold it down to mail it!

Hello friends!  I usually remember to share the Creative Cafe' Kit of the Month from The Rubber Cafe' but somehow I totally forgot.  I really love the kit this month.  There are some super cute cupcake images, cool trendy papers and great embellishments.  It's a super fun kit this month.  Here is my first card using this kit.....

This card measures 4 x 9" and will fit into a standard business envelope.  To create this card, I cut a piece of the Kraft cardstock (included in the kit) to 8 x 9" and folded it at the 4".  I cut two different patterns from the paper pad (included in the kit).  The left side is 5 x 3 3/4" and the right side is 4 x 3 3/4".  When I adhered them down there was just a bit of an overlap.  I added the ribbon where the two papers joined.  I cut a piece of the white cardstock to 2 1/2 x 7".  I stamped the cupcakes twice.  Once on white cardstock and once on patterned paper.  I fussy cut the cupcake lines from the patterned paper and adhered them onto the white cupcakes.  I colored the sprinkles with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers and then added You're So Fine Diamond Cool Clear Highlight Glitter for some real sparkle.  Here is a closer look......

Watercolor Resist Technique with Video Tutorial

Hello friends!  The other day I needed a few cards to send to some friends just to cheer them up.  So I got out some supplies I have been wanting to use and started experimenting!  I used the Embossing Resist technique on both of these cards.  This is a really easy technique that is very fun.   You could make a nice stack of these cards in an hour or so!  Plus they are flat cards so there won't be any extra postage!

Follow Your Dreams Card

Hello friends!  Hello TRC Fans!  Today I have a fun and easy card to share with you using the February Creative Cafe' Kit - Follow Your Dreams.  For this card, I used the stamp set - Birds of a Feather- included in the kit.

Using the navy blue dotted swiss cardstock, included in the kit, as the base of my A2 card.  I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4".  I stamped the feather image using a mint chalk ink all over the white panel.  I added a strip of the matching patterned paper and added the seam binding tied into a bow.  I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of white and punched it out using a label punch I have in my stash!  Here is a closer look......

I think this card is perfect for a graduate!  We have a very good friend who just graduated from Nursing School and I think this is the perfect card to congratulate him on his accomplishment!

Picture Perfect Card

Hello friends!  Sorry it's been awhile since my last post.  All I can say is that I have been busy making projects but I just can't show them to you now.  I do have a fun card to share with you today using supplies from the February Creative Cafe' Kit from The Rubber Cafe'.  This kit includes a sheet of run-ons so I decided to combine the rub-ons with stamps from the main stamp set and the add-on set.    Here is my card....

To create this card, cut the kraft cardstock to 5 1/4 x 10 1/2" and fold it at 5 1/4".  Cut a piece of the woodgrain patterned paper to 5 x 5".  Cut a piece of the white cardstock to 4 1/2 x 4 1/2".  Add the rub-ons (I show you how in my video).  Stamp the banner (Birds of a Feather set)  in the upper right hand corner then stamp the sentiment from the Birds of a Feather stamp set and stamp the lips from the Feeling Lucky add-on set in red over the sentiment.  Then die cut this using a heart-shaped die.

I have a new project to share with you using some stamps from The Rubber Cafe'.  Can you believe it's almost time for one of my favorite holidays - Valentine's Day?  The Rubber Cafe' has many images that are perfect to create that special card for your valentine.  Here is what I created today.....

For this card, I used the stamp sets Winging It and Friendship Is The Best Accessory.  I stamped the flower image from Friendship Is The Best Accessory 2 times and colored them using my Spectrum Noir markers.  I stamped the butterfly from the set, Winging It, onto vellum using white pigment ink, sprinkled on some white embossing powder and heat set.  Once it was cool, I cut out the butterfly.  I stamped the sentiment (from Winging It!) onto white cardstock and cut it into a banner.  I added a hexagon die cut and some woodgrain patterned paper. Monochromatic Thank You Cards

Hello friends.  I noticed the other day that my thank you card stash is dwindling down so I got out some of my supplies and decided to create some easy and quick thank you cards.  For these stamps, I kept my cards to a monochromatic theme...meaning I used the same color cardstock, ink and embellishments.  Plus I used white cardstock for the base.  That makes it super easy to write a quick note inside the card!

I used the clear stamp set - Laurels - from The Rubber Cafe'.  That stamp set and many more are on sale over at The Rubber Cafe' until the end of the month.  I stamped the sentiment onto some scrap white cardstock and used a label punch to punch it out.  I added ribbon, buttons and twine.  Now if you are going to mail these cards and don't want to add extra postage, don't add the button.  I haven't had any issues mailing my cards with ribbon yet.......   I made 8 of these cards in about 30 minutes.  I had alot of fun making these cards and I know we will use them up quickly!
