Yes, I looked it up. There are 51 days until Christmas. So I have been creating some fun projects that I will be sharing with you here and there. So I have my first Christmas card to share with you today.
Recently I won a prize package from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! The owner, Sharon Johnson, sent me a very beautiful christmas tree stamp (Merry Christmas Tree) by IndigoBlu, a 6x6 paper pad ( Joyous) from My Mind's Eye and some beautiful ribbon. This card measures 5 1/4 x 5 1/4" square. To begin, I stamped the christmas tree image using a technique I learned back in my Stampin' Up! days. First I inked the stamp with Versamark, then inked it with red dye ink and stamped the image. I mixed together some Ranger Clear Embossing powder with some Crystal glitter and sprinkled that mixture over my image. After heat settting, I used my scissors to fussy cut the tree out. To mat the tree, I just glued the tree onto some red cardstock and cut around it! I stamped the sentiment using the red dye ink and just cut around it.
I added a red cardstock mat to the patterned paper I chose from the Joyous paper pad and then added the beautiful burgundy silk ribbon and part of a pearl flourish to complete the card.

I'm not sure if that will be our Christmas card yet because you know its going to cost more postage. But for a select few who love my cards......it might be what they are getting!
