Hello friends! Well I took a week off to work on wedding crafts last week. After Memorial Day weekend, I am hoping to be finished with wedding crafts! But I did learn some new techniques that I can't wait to share with you. For today, I have something different to share. It's graduation time now and I have been needing some graduation cards. Last week, Peggy Jo Ackley, owner of Pink Ink Stamps, sent me some of her new releases. They are all so cute but there was two stamps in this group that I just loved and are perfect for making graduation cards!
I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color in the super cut Hi Top Sneaker image. As you can see below, I also used a Spectrum Noir Illustrator marker. Both style of marker works well for this small image!!
Here is another look at my card! I used the Scalloped Square Layering Basics Die Set and the Modern Chevron embossing folder for this card. The patterned paper is the Perfectly Plaid 6x6" petite paper pack from Lawn Fawn. I actually used that patterned paper to pick my color scheme for my shoes!
I added some Nuvo Rosewater Jewel drops on the shoes and in the corners of my card. This card actually measures 5x7" and my papers are only 6x6....so once I trimmed the paper to the correct width, I used that leftover strip and added it at the bottom. This is easy to do when using plaids or dotted paper.
I think any graduate would love this card, don't you??
Thanks for stopping by today!
