Ken Oliver Crafts - A Crafty Haul!

Hello Friends!  Hope your week has been as great as mine!  Despite the cold temps and the snow/ice, I have had such a fun week creating with a bunch of new crafty stuff.  Over the weekend, I received a fun box of stuff from Ken Oliver Crafts and was so excited, I decided to make a video showing what all I received!

 

Plus I took some time to experiment with the new Color Burst that had everyone at CHA buzzing about!  What a fun product.  You know me, I'm not an "artsy" kind of gal but this stuff can make anyone look like an artist!  Here is a short video showing how I used the Color Bursts and a project I created with the beautiful background paper I created!

Supplies Used:

• Cardstock:  Watercolor Paper (Ranger); orange & Kraft cardstock
• Dies - Delicate Fan - Tonic Studios
• Ink - Color Burst, Walnut Click-It Ink pad (Ken Oliver Crafts)
• Stamps - Watercolored Memories - Set 1 (Ken Oliver Crafts)
• Embellishments - seam binding (Really Reasonable Ribbon); Flower(Prima)
• Adhesives - 3d foam squares; Art Institute Dries Clear Glue

Craft Hoarders Anonymous January 2015 Challenge

Hello friends!  Today the Craft Hoarders Anonymous has a new challenge for the whole month.  There have been some changes announced on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous blog and you can read all of them HERE.  The biggest change is that there will just be one challenge each month that will be announced on the second monday!  

So here is our first challenge.  It's a fun one!

January 2015--Choose Your Challenge

Create any type or style of project you wish, as long as you pick ONE (1) item from each category in the chart below! Choose your cardstock, printed paper, or other base (box, canvas, tray, etc.). Next, choose your adhesive. Finally, from the chart below, choose your coloring medium, fiber, technique, texture, and embellishment for your project! The combinations are almost endless! (You may choose more than one item from each category, but you MUST have AT LEAST ONE from each!) Pull out those hoarded products, have fun, and welcome to a NEW YEAR at Craft Hoarders Anonymous!

 

Here is my project!  I used Spray Mist, Lace, Twine, Die cutting, Metal key and Bling!

This layout was created using the Hometown Collection from Ken Oliver Crafts.  I used a 12 x 12 piece for the back ground and spritzed it with some Shimmerz Moody Mauve spray.  I used two dies from Tonic Studios and a bunch of flowers, bling, a metal key and a chipboard word.  I also added some lace underneath some of the paper.  This was a fun layout to create.  I thought this picture of my daughter went perfectly with Ken's Hometown papers.  The smaller pictures are from the 6x6 size of his Hometown collection!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #19

Here is my project for this challenge!

I created a fall wreath to hang in my kitchen using some wonderful supplies!  The tag and sentiment that reminds us to Give Thanks is from the My Artistic Adventures Etsy store.  The image is from a new paper line from Ken Oliver Crafts.  I made the sunflowers using the Classic Sunflower stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations.  The frame around the image is from the Silhouette Online Store and cut on my Silhouette using Kraft cardstock.  I wrapped some beautiful gold crinkle ribbon around the grapevine wreath I bought at Hobby Lobby.
