I don't know about you but I have a ton of buttons. You should see the embarrassing amount of buttons I hoard have in my craft room! They are a super fun embellishment for almost any project and let's face it, pretty cheap too! The fastest and easiest way to adhere buttons to my projects is to use Mini Glue Dots® from Glue Dots® Brand Adhesives. I have tried liquid glue and pop dots but I always go back to Mini Glue Dots!
Here is a tag I made using some fun Candy Store Buttons and some My Little Shoebox papers from my stash!
So the first thing I did was cut some 1" squares out of Papaya Puree cardstock and some My Little Shoebox patterned paper. I layered them onto my 6 1/2" x 3 1/4" tag that I made from Kraft cardstock. Then I started adding my embellishments. At the bottom of my tag, I put a line of Scor-Tape down and pleated my paper. I took a doily (purchased at the grocery store!) and accordian folded it and uses some Mini Glue Dots® to adhere it to the tag. To adhere my buttons into place, I used Mini Glue Dots. For the little butterflies, I used some Pop Up Glue Dots. The sentiment was computer generated and printed onto some Chamois Cascata Felt cardstock. I hand cut it to look like a banner.
This was a fun project to make. I would encourage you to get out those buttons and go crazy!
