Hello friends! Remember a few days ago, I talked about sharing a Christmas card idea with you every week? Well, here is the first card idea I am going to share with you. I don't really like making 40 or 50 of the same card. I get bored easily and then it just feels like work, you know what I mean? Well this idea I am sharing with you today is easy to change and still get a simple but elegant card. Most of these supplies I used came from Crafter's Companion. I will include links to the products but they are NOT affiliate links. The links are just for your information.
Here is my Christmas card idea for this week....
This card was created using the Crafter's Companion new Sheena 3d Embossing Folder - Snowflake Dance. This embossing folder was one in a set of 6 sold on HSN (Home Shopping Network) this week. These should be available on the Crafter's Companion website in 30 days or so. As you can see, I used some Navy Luxury Cardstock - Matte from Crafter's Companion and ran it thru the Gemini. This card measures 5 x 7". After embossing the matte cardstock, I layered onto some white cardstock and then tied the ribbon. After the ribbon was tied, I adhered the card front to the base and then added the sentiment. This sentiment is from Crafter's Companion Winter Joy Stamp set. This stamp set includes some really cute images along with the sentiment. I just punched out the sentiment using a label punch to make things really fast and easy.
Here is another card I created using this same layout......
See what I mean about changing things up so it doesn't get boring? I could easily make quite a few of these cards! This 3d embossing folder is from the Crafter's Companion Sheena -Poinsettia Plethora. This was also available on HSN but I can't find it right now. I will update links as products become available!
Well I hope I have inspired you to get busy making cards. I know I always tell myself to not leave the cardmaking until the last minute and I am trying not to do that this year! Keep checking back to see more Christmas card inspiration!!
