Keep Calm and Go Shoe Shopping!

Hello friends!  Today there is a new release on the Crafter's Companion US website......Cherry Green Designs.  You are going to love these stamps and sentiments!  Here is a  project I created using a beautiful set called New Shoes.

I stamped the shoe image onto Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the images using my Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils -Orchid, Wineberry  and Gold Finch,   This card measures 5 1/4 x 5 1/4" square.  I cut a piece of the Pale Dogwood Luxury Cardstock - Glitter to 5" and then I used the Die'sire Classiques - Lattice Corner die  on two of the corners.  I fussy cut the image out and adhered it to the card using 3d foam squares.  I stamped the sentiment and used a label punch to punch it out, then adhered it to the card to finish!  Here is a different view.....I really love the glitter cardstock....very sparkly and doesn't leave glitter everywhere!!

A Tonic Studios Back To School Scrapbook Layout!

Hello friends!  I hope you are preparing for the Solar Eclipse this morning like we are here in Missouri.  At my house, we are in the path of Totality!  My daughter is off school, the hubby is off work and my mom even spent the night so we can view the eclipse together.  But before the eclipse comes, I want to share with you a scrapbook layout I created for my youngest daughter's first day of Junior Year in high school that is posted over on the Tonic Studios USA blog today!

Happy Birthday Watercolor Wash Card!

Hello friends!  Hope your week is going okay so far.  On Wednesday, it's back to school for my youngest daughter.  She will be a Junior in high school.  I can't believe how time flies.  Well, while I am enjoying the quiet at my house, I will be watching the Home Shopping Network.  You see, August 16th is the big crafty day for Crafter's Companion on HSN.  They have a really wonderful Today's Special for tomorrow and I hope you will check it out!  It's a collection of cool stuff featuring the Colorista Aqua line from Crafter's Companion.  If you love to watercolor, you will love this collection.  Here is a card I created using just a few of the products!

I started by cutting a sheet from the Spectrum Noir Colorista Aqua Lovely Frameables Premium Watercolour pad.  Then I used a couple of my Spectrum Noir Aqua markers and a Crafter's Companion Water Pen to move the color around the sheet in a color wash technique.

 

Here is what my finished card looks like....

I matted my watercolor panel onto some Gold Mirror Luxury Cardstock and then I added a Vellum Sentiment.  The vellum sentiment comes in a pack with the Today's Special!!

A Thank You Card Ensemble

Hello friends.  Hope you have been enjoying your summer.  Sadly, summer break is almost over at our house.  We have had a few milestone achievements happen, too.  My youngest daughter got her driver's license and she drove herself to school to get her locker, schedule and parking pass.  We have just 9 short days until she is officially a Junior in high school.  Seems like this summer has definitely flown by!

Well a few months ago, I made a Thank You card ensemble for the Tonic Studios blog.  I am sorry I forgot to share it with you.

You can see exactly how I created this ensemble and the Tonic Studios dies and stamps I used on the Tonic Studios blog.  You might want to have a look around, too.  If Nuvo Drops are something you love to use, well this is definitely the blog for you!

A Sneak Peek......

Hello friends!  I have been super busy working on projects for the next crafty day on HSN (Home Shopping Network) for Crafter's Companion.  I love getting the new products and making stuff but I have to say sometimes it can be hard to create.  What I mean is that most of the products are Christmas stuff.  I don't know about you but I am just not ready to talk about that holiday yet!  LOL  Well, besides the new stuff being Christmas, I have had a lot of fun creating.  I found some Christmas movies to listen to while creating and just got busy!

Here are two of my projects.......

 

For both of these projects I used new 3d embossing folders that will be on HSN Wednesday August 16.  I also used some really cool silver and gold gilding wax.  I have never used that product before and am excited to experiment with it some more!

 

I have a few more Christmas cards to share but there are a few regular projects, too!  There is a wonderful Today's Special for August 16th and I will share a few projects using those products soon.
