How To Use The Shutter Card Dies!

Hello friends!  Today I have a video to share with you.  This video shows you how easy it is to use the new Shutter Card Dies from Crafter's Companion.  These dies will be the Today's Special on HSN (Home Shopping Network) on May 9th!  I am really loving these dies and have had so much fun making shutter cards.  I already shared one that I made for a birthday, but this card is alittle fancier!  You can see some sneak peeks of all the goodies coming to HSN on May 9th HERE!

A Goodbye To Heartfelt Creations

A Quick Shutter Card!

Hello friends!  Today I have a quick and easy shutter card to share with you.  I know, shutter cards aren't usually refered too as quick or easy.  You can see a tutorial for one HERE on Splitcoaststampers.  But I recently received the new Die'sire Create-A-Card Shutter card die set from Crafter's Companion.  This set of dies makes creating a beautiful shutter card so easy!  All you need is the die set, some cardstock and a die cutting machine!  This new die set and other fabulous dies will be on Home Shopping Network on May 9.  Crafter's Companion has many new products to introduce and I know you will love them as much as I do!! Here is my Shutter Card.....

For this card, I decided on a birthday theme and used a sentiment from the Foil Transfers 2 set.  The base kraft cardstock is 120lb and very sturdy.  The die set will cut and score right where you need it too.  The die set also includes the dies to mat and make your shutter card just fabulous!  Here is a closer look......

 

I really love how quick and easy these dies are to use.  I am working on a video to show you just how they work!  Stay tuned!

You Are The Best Card

Hello friends.  Today I have a fun card to share with you using the Tropical Paradise Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  I really love the flamingos in this collection.  They are fun to color and cut out great with the matching die!

 

Isn't the flamingo so cute?  I love how this card turned out!  The plumeria flowers were put together using a hot glue gun and I would definitely recommend that if you want to put them together quickly.  I stamped everything onto mixed media paper using Jet Black Staz-on and colored it all using Spectrum Noir Sparkle markers and a water pen.  

Last week I forgot to post my Heartfelt Creations project so I am posting that one here, too.  You can see all the supplies used and the exact instructions on the Heartfelt Creations Blog.

 

You might be able to tell but when I got the collection, I just stamped sheets of each stamp onto mixed media paper with the staz-on ink and colored everything.  I find stamping alot of images like this really is a time saver.  After you die cut them out, you can just store them in a ziploc bag and then make some really pretty but quick cards!  You can see the supply list and instructions for both of these cards on the Heartfelt Creations Blog.

A Center Circle Card The Easy Way!

Hello friends!  I hope you had a wonderful Easter!  Things are in high gear around my house as we are getting ready for my oldest daughter's bridal shower this weekend.  The wedding is sneaking up on me, too!  I have many wedding invitations to finish and I need to finish them fast.  But I had to stop and create with some new goodies I received from Crafter's Companion.  In May on Home Shopping Network, Crafter's Companion will be releasing a new set of dies that make fancy folds really easy.  The first set I am going to share with you is the Die'sire Create-A-Card Circle Centre Die.  This die set includes 7 dies and it cuts/scores right where you need to make a beautiful Center Circle Card.

Here is my card.....

The sentiment in the middle comes with the die set.  But there will be a few different circle sentiment dies you will be able to purchase from HSN on release day.  The shiny blue cardstock is from the new Luxury Cardstock Ice Blue Pack.  You get glitter, mirror and matte cardstock all in one pack!  It's so beautiful!  The detail dies are also included in the die set!  Here is a closer look......

 

This set of dies is so much fun to create with and it's fast, too!  I will have more to share with you tomorrow!  Tomorrow I will share with you the Shutter Die set.  I will even have a video tutorial to share soon.

Tim Holtz Stamp Platform!

Hey friends!  Guess what I got in the mail the other day?  Tonic Studios sent me the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform!  I was so excited that I sat down and made a short video to show you how it works.  I know the more I use it the more I am really going to like it and will have more tips and tricks to share!

Here is a picture of the card I created.  It was a very fast card....I can't wait to really get stamping!!

Hey There Beautiful!

Hello friends!  I have always loved to create shaped cards and sometimes it can be tricky.  Recently, Crafter's Companion came out with a whole line of dies that creates shaped cards quick and easy.  For the card I am sharing with you today, I have used the Die'sire Create-a-Card - Ruth Card base die.  These dies are so easy to use.  There is one side of the die that doesn't cut, so all you have to do is place that edge on the folded cardstock and run it thru your die cutting machine!  Voila'!  

 

Here is my card.......

For the base of this card, I used Neenah Desert Storm cardstock.  It looks just like regular kraft paper but it is super smooth and you can color on it using alcohol markers.  Here is colored my images used the Spectrum Noir Colourblend Pencils -  White, Pistachio, Petal, Geranium, Jade.  These pencils really blended well on this paper!  The stamp set is Sheena Groovin 60"s Bloomin' Sixties EZ Mount Rubber Stamp set.  I really love the groovy flowers in this set!  I stamped the flowers using  Versamark ink and added some white embossing powder.  After I heat set the powder, I colored the images and then cut them out.  I did stamp the biggest flower directly onto my card.  Here is a closer look.
