Hello friends! Well things are looking up as far as the weather goes because today it is 50 degrees. Now who knows what will happen tomorrow. That is what it is like all the time when you live in Missouri! I have been feeling the need for spring so to keep up that theme, I have created this pretty butterfly card. Not too long ago, Crafter's Companion released some really cool new markers called Spectrum Noir Sparkle. They are a pigment mixed with sparkle in pen form!! They are really awesome. The Sparkle Pens come in sets of three different colors except for the clear overlay sparkle pens, there are three each of those in a set.
Check out my card for today and then I will tell you how I used my new Sparkle Pens!
This was really a pretty simple card to create. Plus I am so happy that you can see some of the sparkle that the Sparkle Pen gives to the project. To begin, I stamped the butterfly using Versamark ink onto Vellum cardstock and sprinkled on some Glacier White embossing powder. After I heat set the powder, I cut out the butterfly. Then I used the Spectrum Noir Rose Quartz pen to color the butterfly. That color matches almost perfectly with the Blushing Bride (SU) paper, ink and ribbon I used for this card. I also used the 8" X 8" Embossalicious Embossing Folder - Flutterby Butterfly. Can you tell I love butterflies? Here is a closer look.......
Like I said this was pretty simple. It just takes a few extra minutes to heat emboss the image but it is so worth it! Here is a list of my supplies......
