It's Time For Fall!

Hello friends!  Can you believe it's October 7th already?  Time sure is flying by fast.....like usual I guess.  Today I am excited to share a Heartfelt Creations home decor project that I created.  I really love fall and love to decorate my house - not just for Halloween but more generic fall and Thanksgiving home decor is what I usually go with around here.  

Here is a Fall Mum Wreath I created using the Enchanted Mum Collection from Heartfelt Creations.

This is a small grapevine wreath that I purchased on clearance a few years ago.  It has been just waiting around in my stash to get used!  Here is a close-up!

Project Instructions: 

Other products: Yellow, Orange, Burgundy, Olive Green Cardstock; Grapevine Wreath, Wired Burlap Ribbon, Hot glue gun

Instructions: The finished wreath measures 12" round. Prepare grapevine wreath by wrapping with burlap ribbon and tie that ribbon into a bow. Use the hot glue gun to glue everything into place. Stamp the Enchanted Mum Cling stamp set onto yellow, orange and burgundy cardstock 6 times each color and die cut with matching die. Stamp the Classic Leaf image onto green cardstock using matching ink 7 times and die cut with matching die. Assemble and shape flowers using the flower shaping kit. Each flower has 4 layers. Hot glue the leaves onto the back of each flower and hot glue into place on the wreath.

October Craft Hoarders Hop!

Hello Friends!  Today is the 5th day of the month (Oh my gosh where did the time go?) so that means it's time for another Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog hop.   If you are following along on the hop that means you have come from Vicki's blog.  If you want to start the hop at the beginning, please go to Gloria's blog!  

 This month, we don't have any theme and since I was gone for 2 weeks last month, that means I have some goodies sitting around that I haven't touched.  So here is my project using some really wonderful dies from Crafter's Companion!

I created a gift bag using a regular brown paper lunch sack.  I used some new Crafter's Companion Die'sire Edge'ables dies - Butterfly Dreams and Just for You!  I thought these dies were perfect for this bag.  The Butterfly Dreams die is just so beautiful......it looks like the butterflies are just flying off, doesn't it?    Here is a close up........

The best thing about these dies are how easy they are to use.  Just place this Butterfly Dreams die along the edge of your cardstock and run it thru the machine.  I did use some waxed paper just in case it was hard to remove the die cut but everything cut on the first pass!  I ran this die thru cutting the edge of a piece of soft sky cardstock and then cut a piece of mirror silver cardstock.  I cut the butterflies from the silver cardstock and glued them into place.  I love the look!

Witching You.....

Hello friends.  Today I have a fun card to share with you using the September Creative Cafe' kit - Monster Bash from The Rubber Cafe'.  I haven't shared many projects using this kit yet, but I love the patterned paper, stamp sets and embellishments.  Truly fun to work with for those of us who like everything to be matchy, matchy!

Here is my card......

To help you recreate this card (if you want too) I have the card's measurements for you.  The base of this card is A2 sized...which means I cut the cardstock in half lengthwise at 4 1/4".  Then I scored and folded the piece of cardstock at 5 1/2".  Here are the measurements to complete this card: 

• Spiderweb patterned paper - 4 x 5 1 /4"
• Black cardstock layer - 3 1/2 x 4"
• Purple patterned paper - 3 3/8 x 3  7/8"
• patterned paper strip - 4 x 2 1/2"
• Main image black layer - 2 1/4 x 3 1/2"
• Main image - 2 x 3 1/4"

To color the witches feet, I used Copic markers - YG95, V17, W1, W7.  The rhinestones, ribbon and button are also included in the kit!  Here is a closer look at my card.
