Italiana Riviera Gift Tag

Hello friends!  Today is Wednesday and that means it's time for another Heartfelt Creations project.  This week I have created a tag and band for a wine bottle gift.  Don't judge me this wine bottle is so big!  LOL    I know I haven't made a YouTube video in awhile and I will be doing that really soon but in the mean time, you should check out Heartfelt Creations latest video.  Emma Lou shares all kinds of tips and tricks to help you with those intricate dies you might be having problems with!  Check it out HERE

 

I used my hot glue gun to anchor a piece of wired burlap ribbon around the wine bottle and then I cut a piece of patterned paper from the collection to go over the ribbon.  The tag was pretty fun to make....here is a close-up!

Other products: Versamark Watermark Ink pad; Kraft & White cardstock; Spectrum Aqua Markers - Magenta, Purple, Olive, Moss; 3d foam squares; winter white seam binding, lace, white twine, hot glue gun, wired burlap ribbon; SVG file for tag

Instructions: Wrap the wine bottle with the burlap ribbon and hot glue into place. Trim a piece of patterned paper from the Italiana Riviera paper collection to fit inside the ribbon and wrap this around the wine bottle over the burlap and hot glue it into place.

Cut the tag using a digital cutter out of Kraft cardstock. Cut a piece of the patterned paper from the collection to fit the tag. Use a corner round on the corners of the paper and adhere into place. Cut the tags and sentiment ticket from the paper collection. Stamp the grape clusters onto white cardstock using Versamark ink onto white cardstock 2 times. Sprinkle on the gold embossing powder and heat to set. Color using markers. Die cut using the matching die. Assemble the grape clusters, sentiment and the tag into place as shown. Thread some seam binding and lace thru the hole in the tag and tie as shown. Add the white twine so that the tag can be hung from the wine bottle to complete project.

A Cardinal Merry Christmas

Hello friends.   Today I have a fun Christmas card for you.  I used the supplies from this month's Creative Cafe' Kit - Creative Christmas.  I also used a stamp included in the bonus stamp set -  Christmas is Coming.  I love Cardinals so this was one of the first cards I created using the kit!

I used the different sized circle punches I had in my stash and punched out a bunch of circles using different patterns from the paper pad.  I arranged the circles into a tree shape.  I stamped the Cardinal image onto white cardstock and colored it with my markers.  I cut them out so I could adhere one onto the tree and one along the bottom of the card.  I created the base of the card using red cardstock, cut to 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2".  I cut the white cardstock layer to 4 x 5 1/4".  I stamped the sentiment along the bottom using black ink.  I added a 1/2" strip of red patterned paper and using some 1/8" Scor-tape, I added the green ribbon (included in kit).

Thinking Of You In Your Fuzzy Bathrobe!

Hello Friends!  Today I have a really fun card to share with you.  This is a new image just released from Pink Ink Postmarks.  I really love it!  I thought this image was perfect for the paper piecing technique.  Here is my card.....

 

To start, I stamped the image 3 times.....white and peach cardstock and patterned paper.  

Then I cut out the peach bathrobe whole and just the cuffs/pockets, neckline and sash out of the patterned paper.  I glued these onto the fuzzy bathrobe that I stamped onto the white cardstock.  This makes it easier to die cut!

Here is a close-up of my finished card.  I die cut the bathrobe image using the Tonic Studios - I Miss You Topper Inner Die.  Of course, I just used the outer portion of the die but it's a really cool die, don't you think?

I finished off the card by adding the Thinking of You Sentiment  (also from Pink Ink).  I think this is the perfect card to send to that friend or loved one who is experiencing an illness.  Just by letting them know that you are thinking of them and writing a short note inside will really brighten their day!

A Sunny Yellow Card Just For You!

Hello friends!  Hope the weather is wonderful where you are because the last few days the weather has been just delightful here in Missouri.  That is supposed to change starting tonight so while I have been enjoying the weather, I thought I would share with you a sunny yellow project I created using products from Crafter's Companion.

You Make Me Smile!

Hello friends!  Today I have a fun card to share with you using products from Crafter's Companion.  I have been making projects using their products this month but unfortunately, I can't share any of those......boy are they some cool products, too!  But I did sit down and create something I can share using a new Edge'ables die that I really love!

Don't you just love that die?  I love any product that has butterflies but when they jump off the project like this one does, it really is a favorite for me!  This card was actually really easy to create.  I cut two of the Edge'ables Fancy Borders Butterfly Dreams die.  One time I die cut them from some Sky Blue Shimmering cardstock and the other time I die cut it from white cardstock.  I then cut and glued the white butterflies over the blue ones to get this effect.  Everything else is pretty easy on this card!

Sweet Moments

Hello friends!  Hope your week has been good so far.  Today the sun is shining and it's pretty warm so I am hoping to take some time to enjoy just being outside!  It's Wednesday so that means I have another Heartfelt Creations project to share with you.  So far this month I have been showcasing the Italiana Riviera collection and today is no different.  I really love the color combos and the stamp sets in this collection.  Today I have a card using the new Italiana Grape Clusters Die which includes an ivy edge die that I really love!

Included in the instructions below is a link to a video from Emma Lou (Heartfelt Creations) giving you some tips and showing you how to use the dies included in this collection.  An edge die like this can sometimes be alittle tricky - my tip for cutting this die is to make sure that the die is vertical in your machine and placed on the edge of your cutting place.  The edge of the cutting plates seem to have the most pressure!

Instructions: The finished card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". Cut the kraft cardstock to 5 1/4" x 10 1/2", score at 5 1/4" and fold in half to create base of card. Cut green and taupe patterned paper from collection slightly smaller than base and layer onto base. Using the Italiana Grape Clusters edge die, die cut one layer from green patterned paper and one from the brushed gold paper. Layer these together and cut to about a 2" strip to adhere to side of card as shown. Stamp the wine bottle and glasses from the Italiana Riviera Grape Clusters Cling Set using brown ink onto white cardstock and color with markers. Stamp the grape vine cluster with brown ink and color. Die cut the images using the matching dies. Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of white cardstock, die cut using Labels 29 die. Die cut a larger Labels 29 die from the striped paper and the purple paper from the collection. Layer these labels as shown onto card base. Layer side strip into place and tie seam binding into bow. Add the gold cording around the knot of the bow. Using 3d foam squares, adhere the wine bottle, glasses and grapevine cluster into place. Put gold brads on all 4 corners to complete card.

Home For Christmas.....

Hello Friends!   Today I have a card to share with you using the October Creative Cafe' Kit - Creative Christmas. I usually send at least 40 Christmas cards to family and friends.  I want the cards to be easy to assemble plus flat enough to only require one stamp when mailed.  So keeping those things in mind, I created this card using the main stamp set - Home for Christmas.

This card measures 5 1/3 x 4 1/4".  It's a standard A2 sized card.  I cut the kraft cardstock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2".  Then I folded it at 4 1/4" to create the base.  The red cardstock is cut 4 x 5 1/4" and the patterned paper is cut to 3 3/4 x 5".  I cut the strip of cardstock with the sentiment from the paper pad and trimmed it to fit along the bottom.  I stamped one of the house images onto white cardstock using black ink.  I colored the house to coordinate with the papers I chose.  I used scalloped and classic rectangle dies to mat the house on so that I could pop them up using 3d foam squares.  I thought the paper from the pad had a great sentiment on it for this card but you could stamp any of the sentiments included with the kit along the bottom of this card!  Here is another angle.......

You could use any ribbon along the bottom just make sure you don't make the card too bulky.  Hope I have inspired you to get started on those Christmas cards using the supplies from your Creative Cafe' Kit!!

Italiana Riviera Gatefold Card

Hello Friends!  I hope you love the newest release from Heartfelt Creations - Italiana Riviera. I really love the beautiful colors and images in this collection but my favorite thing is the Italiana Grape Clusters die....this set includes an edge die that I really love.  Here is a gatefold card I created using the collection!

Project Instructions: 

Other products: Kraft cardstock 12" x 12", Strathmore Mixed Media Paper, Versamark ink pad, Gold embossing powder, heat tool, ribbon, lace, 3d foam squares, Zig Clean Color Brush markers - olive green, mid green, blue, light violet, waterbrush, scoring tool, hole punch

Instructions: The finished card measures 6" x 6 1/2". To make base of card, cut a piece of 12" x 12" kraft cardstock to 6 1/2" x 12". Score at 3" and 9" to create the gatefold card. Using the Grapevine die, die cut along the opening edges of the card. Die cut the purple patterned paper (from the collection) using the same die to layer onto base. Add the ivory lace along both edges of front of card. Stamp the grapevines onto the green patterned paper using Versamark ink and sprinkle with gold embossing powder. Heat set the embossing powder and die cut with matching die 4 times. Stamp the grape clusters onto the mixed media paper with the Versamark ink and sprinkle on the gold embossing powder. Heat set the grape clusters and watercolor them using the watercolor markers. Die cut with the matching die 2 times. Layer the grapevines and grape clusters onto front flaps as shown using 3d foam squares. Cut the 2 sentiment panels from the collection and adhere into place as shown. Open the card and layer purple patterned paper and card front panel from collection as shown. Punch a hole on each side of gatefold panels and thread ribbon through, then tie into a bow to complete the card.

Using another grapevine wreath from my stash, I created this home decor piece that looks hard to create but it's not!!  A hot glue gun, some ribbon and trims from your stash and you can create this wreath, too.

Project Instructions: 

Other products: Strathmore Mixed Media Paper; Brushed Gold Cardstock; Versamark Ink; gold embossing power, heat tool; Spectrum Aqua markers - purple, red violet, magenta, moss, olive; Grapevine wreath; purple satin ribbon; sentiment SVG cut from Silhouette online store; eBosser die cutting machine; pearl/lace ribbon; hot glue gun; sponges, chipboard

Instructions: The completed wreath measures 10" round. (You can use any sized grapevine wreath you want for this project.) Stamp the grapevine stamp (2.75" x 2.25") 8 times onto green patterned paper (from collection) using Versamark ink and sprinkle with gold embossing powder. After heat setting the embossing powder, die cut the grapevine leaves and sponge with olive grove memento ink. Set aside. Stamp the Botanical Rose stamp onto light purple patterned paper (from collection) using Wisteria ink 6 times. Die cut the roses using the matching die, sponge edges with wisteria ink and shape flowers using the deluxe flower shaping kit. There are three large roses and 3 small roses.

Using the hot glue gun, attach the lace/pearl ribbon to the wreath as shown. Using a digital cutter (Silhouette) cut the sentiment SVG file from Brushed gold cardstock. Cut a piece of medium weight chipboard and cover with dark purple patterned paper from collection. Cut the chipboard just a bit larger than the opening of your wreath. Adhere the sentiment onto the middle of your chipboard panel and attach to the back of your wreath using a hot glue gun. Attach the grape leaves and flowers to your wreath as shown using the hot glue gun. Tie a double bow from the satin ribbon and attach to your wreath completing the project!

It's Time For Christmas Cards.......

Hello Friends!  I don't really know if I am really ready for Christmas card making time but none the less, it is here!  October is the perfect time to start making your Christmas cards so that you get them finished and ready to go before to rush of the holidays is upon you.  Yeah, like I ever have really listened to my own advice!  LOL    But thanks to the October Creative Cafe' Kit - Creative Christmas, you have all the supplies you need to makes some really cute cards for your friends and family!

Here is the first card I created using the October Creative Cafe' Kit.  It's a bit of a different color combo but I think it turned out cute!

The base of this card is made from the Granite cardstock included in the kit.  I cut the cardstock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" and folded it in half.  I cut the blue paper (from the paper pad) to 4 x 5 1/4".  Using a Versamark pad and the snowflake stamps from the Bonus Set - Christmas is Coming, I sprinkled some  Stamp 'n Bond powder onto the snowflakes and heat set them.  Then I sprinkled on some You're So Fine - Diamond Clear Cool Highlight glitter and then heat set it again.  I stamped the village silhouette onto white cardstock using Gray Flannel Memento Ink and cut it out.  I cut a strip of the patterned paper that had that cute Santa with his reindeer and snowmen from the patterned paper pad and layered it onto a strip of the Granite cardstock.  I added some of the white scalloped velvet ribbon (that is included in the kit) along the bottom of the strip.  Plus I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and made it into a banner.  Here is a close-up....

This was a fun card to create.  Stamp 'n Bond powder is like a powdered glue that works great with glitter because once you heat set it, it doesn't come off!  I hate when you open the envelope and glitter goes everywhere, don't you?
