Welcome to the September Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog Hop. You should be coming to my blog from Vicki Robertson's blog. After visiting me, hop on over to Pam Bray's Blog to continue the hop. For a master list of the blog hop, you can visit Gloria Stengel's blog.
I am so excited to be a part of the great group of designers. Our aim is to help you use up your hoard of crafting goodies. You read that right....we will not always be using our paper crafts hoard. Some of us have other hobbies and crafts we like to do, so we might be showing you a sewing project, mix media, home decor or a storage tip. This month, I am going to stick to paper crafting and decided to pull out some of my stash that hasn't ever been used. Plus my youngest daughter is having a birthday so I needed a special card for that celebration!
Here is my card......
The base of this card is made from Kraft cardstock and measures 5 1/4 x 5 1/4". I dusted off some Bo Bunny Garden Journal papers from my stash for my layers. The label-like layer was cut from one of the papers in the collection, too. The "Happy birthday" was cut using my Silhouette. My daughter loves flowers so I used a die from the Arboreal Dream Die Set by Tonic Studios and used some pre-made flowers. I added the pink seam binding plus I used some Crystal Stickles on the sentiment to complete the card. I almost forgot......I used a pearl flourish that I applied before I added the sentiment label and ribbon.
Here is a close-up!
I think my daughter will love it. I can't believe my baby is going to be 15 years old. It seems like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital! Time really does fly. Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I am very excited to know what you think of our blog hop so please comment and let me know! Remember your next stop is Pam Bray's blog......she has an awesome project to share!
