Hello Friends!  It's pretty quiet around my house during the day now....definitely not complaining.  But that has given me time to start cleaning and purging my crafty room.  I will be posting some videos soon that show crafty items that I am selling.  So be on the watch for that!  Be sure to subscribe to my Youtube Channel for updates!

Today I have a card to share with you using a very cute image from Crafter's Companion.  This image is just so cute and was really fun to color.

This image is from the Scruffy Little Kitten line of EZ Mount stamp sets.  This is Dollie.  Isn't she cute?  I added some highlights to the bubbles in her bath but used Crystal Stickles to add a pretty shimmer....I know it's hard to see, sorry!  I think she turned out really cute!

Apple Of My Eye Layout

Hello friends!  This week I have a layout to share with you using the newest release from Heartfelt Creations - Farmers Market Collection!  I really love this collection for it's fun summer motifs of canning and preserving our garden's bounty.  These images and papers will be great to use when I give my homemade pickles to my family and friends.

For my project today, I used the apple patterned paper from the collection and a chalk sticker I found at my local craft store.

The chalkboard sticker is from K&Company and I used a chalk marker to write on it.  I thought this was perfect with the beautiful apples on this paper.  I also made some daisies from the Delightlful Daisies stamps and matching dies.  The ivy is from the Farmers Market collection, too!

 Other Products:  Grands Labels One die – Spellbinders Paper Arts;  White, moss green, apple cardstock;  artichoke green dye ink pad, yellow seed beads, corner rounder punch, Round Chalkboard Label Sticker & marker – K & Company;

 This layout measures 12 x 12.   To begin layout, chose the apple themed paper from the Farmers Market Paper Collection.  Use scissors along the edges to give this paper a wavy edge.  Adhere to a piece of 12 x 12” apple cardstock.  Die cut the largest grand Labels One from the set out of the red cardstock.  Adhere the round chalkboard label into place.  Adhere to red cardstock label into place.  Use a chalkboard marker to write “Apple Of My Eye” on the chalkboard label.  Stamp and die cut the Delightful Daisies flowers  from white cardstock– 4 times.  Stamp and die cut the vines using moss green cardstock using green ink – 3 times.  Cut the apples from the other sheet of patterned paper included in the collection.  Trim picture and use the corner rounder on all 4 edges.  Layer picture onto a slightly larger piece of moss green cardstock and use the corner rounder on the edges, too.  Adhere the picture and mat onto the red label as shown.  Adhere the apples into place as shown.  Shape flowers and add the yellow seed beads into the middles.  Adhere the vines and flowers into place as shown to complete layout.

Hello friends!  Happy Weekend!  Well we have 2 days of high school under our belt.  My baby is a Freshman in high school now.  You know, I have been a stay at home mom for 22 years now and there is almost nobody to stay at home with anymore!  Might be time to find a big girl job??  I sure hope not!  LOL

Today I have another Crafter's Companion project to share with you.  I am really loving all the wonderful products they sell.  The Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers are really becoming a favorite.  Now remember this is from the girl who had to purchase all the copic markers and then let them gather dust!  LOL  I find the Spectrum Noir much easier to blend and they are really juicy.  I will give a more complete review in a few months after I have really used them.

This card uses almost the same supplies as my card that I posted on Thursday but the colors are different.  

Here is my card for today....

This card measures 5 1/4 x 5 1/4".  I stamped the sentiment using a Colorbox Chalk ink pad - Rouge.  I colored the flower image using Spectrum Noir PP3, PP5, FS6, DR5, CG2.  I also put stickles all over the flowers cause I got a little carried away!  LOL

I used the same embossing folder as last card!  Love those butterflies!!

Thinking of You Always

Hello Friends!  Today I have a card to share with you using Crafter's Companion products.   I used one of the 6x6 Die'sire Embossalicious folders - Ornate Butterflies, as the starting point for my card.  I really love the size of the embossing folder because a square card is one of my favorites to make!  What do you think?

The base of the card is made from some gray cardstock.  I cut the cardstock to 5 1/4 x 10 1/2" and folded it at 5 1/4".  I used some 6x6 Shimmering Cardstock - Coastal Pearl for the main panel of the card.  I embossed the paper and then I trimmed it down to 5 x 5".  That way I could choose where I wanted to trim the panel.  I stamped the sentiment and the flowers onto some Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth White cardstock.  I colored the orchids using Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers - BT1, BT2, BT4, BGR1, DG2.  I also added just a bit of stickles in the middle of the flowers to add some sparkle!

I finished off the card by adding the lace, ribbon and pearls.  I really love this color combo and think the card turned out beautiful!

Heartfelt Creations You're Berry Sweet!

Hello Friends!  It's Wednesday and you know that means a Hearfelt Creations project to share today.  I love to watercolor and the berry images from the Farmers Market Collection are perfect to watercolor.  I created a video showing you how I created this card, too!

Project Instructions: 

Other products: Splendid Squares die - Spellbinders Paper Arts; label punch - EK Success; Grape, Old Olive and White Cardstock; Old Olive ink pad; green ribbon; Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers - Moss, Magenta, Purple, Red Violet; water brush; Mixed Media Paper - Strathmore; 3d foam squares

This card measures 5  1/4 x 5 1/4 .  Cut a piece of grape cardstock to 5 1/4 x 10 1/2 “ and score/fold  at 5 1/4 “  to create card base.  Cut olive cardstock to 5 x 5”.  Stamp the berry image onto the olive cardstock panel using olive ink.  Die cut the largest splendid square in the set out of white cardstock and adhere to olive panel.   Tie ribbon into a bow around these two panels. 

  Stamp the berry image onto mix media paper using Espresso Truffle ink.  Using a water brush and aqua markers, color the berries and leaves – 2 times.  Stamp the small berry image on the mixed media paper and color it as described.  Use the matching dies to cut out the berry images.  Cut apart one of the berry images  and adhere all the berries to the card front as shown.  Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap piece of white cardstock using olive ink.  Punch out the sentiment using a label punch.  Adhere the sentiment label to card front panel using 3d foam squares.  Adhere small berry image into place using glue and 3dfoam squares as shown.  To complete card, adhere card front panel to grape cardstock base.

Hello Friends!   My favorite image in this month's Creative Cafe' Kit -Farm Fresh  is  from the Add-On set - Farm Fresh.  The strawberries are just so cute!  So I grabbed my markers and started coloring!

 

I used the kraft cardstock for the base of this A2 sized card.  I cut the green dotted paper (included in the paper pad) slightly smaller - 4 x 5 1/4".  Then I cut a piece of the white cardstock to 3 3/4 x 5".  I stamped the strawberry images in both corners, letting the images go off the page.  I also stamped an extra image on a piece of white cardstock so I could cut it out.    For the sentiment panel, I had a strip of the green dotted paper left and I just cut it to 4 x 2" and used a corner rounder on all 4 corners.  The white panel is just a bit smaller and the corners are rounded, too!.  Here is a close-up!

A Perfectly Sweet Farmers Market Card

Project Instructions: 

Other products: Kraft, White & Light Peach Cardstock; Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers - FS2, FS3, CR10, DG2, CG2, EB5; Peach seam binding, gold brads, 3d foam squares

Instructions: This card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". Cut kraft cardstock to 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" and fold at the 5 1/4" to create card base. Cut peach cardstock to 5" x 5". Cut out card front from the paper collection and trim to 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and adhere to peach panel. Wrap peach seam binding around this panel and tie into a bow. Adhere to card front. Stamp the peaches image twice from the Berries and Peaches set onto white cardstock using Espresso Truffle Ink. Stamp the vine image from the Jars and Vines onto white cardstock using Espresso Truffle Ink. Color peaches, leaves and vines using the above noted markers. Using the matching dies, die cut out the images. Adhere to card front using 3d foam squares. Add the gold brads in all four corners to complete card.

Hello Friends!  As you know, I am on The Rubber Cafe' design team and every month there is a new Creative Cafe' Kit released.  I really love these kits because you get everything you need to make some really pretty projects - there is even an inspiration sheet to help!  I am so excited to show you all the wonderful stuff you will be receiving in your August Creative Cafe' Kit - Farm Fresh!  Here is a quick video that I made showing off all the great stuff!

 

Using the August Creative Cafe' Kit - Farm Fresh, I created a cute card using the main stamp set - Home Grown and the wonderful 6x6 papers from Echo Park that are included in the kit!  I also made a quick video showing how I put this card together.  You might be able to see in the picture that I actually sewed on the card using my new sewing machine.  That is a new thing for me....I kinda like it!

A Christmas Prayer Photo Tray

Hello Friends!  Today is Wednesday and that means it's time to share another Heartfelt Creation project.  A few months ago, I was looking thru the clearance section of Hobby Lobby and I ran across a wooden photo tray.  Now the tray was damaged but it was marked down really low.  I knew that I could repaint the tray and turn it into something pretty!  Here it is.......

 

This was so fun to make!  I started by painting the photo tray (which was black) with red acrylic paint.  Then I added a layer of Crackle Medium.  After that dried I painted it with an off-white paint.  While the off-white paint was drying, it started to crackle!  I really love the look!!  I added all those lovely embellishments from the Sparkling Poinsettia Paper Collection and I think my $5 Photo Tray turned out fantastic!!

Project Instructions: 

Other Products: Old Olive ink pad, Olive & Cherry Cardstock, Chipotle Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Craft Paint (Martha Stewart), Unbleached Titanium Acrylic Paint (Artists Loft), Weathered Wood Crackle Medium (Americana), paint brushes, red satin ribbon, gold seed beads, gold vintage rhinestones, scor-tape, hot glue gun, 4x6 photo sized Wooden Memory Tray (The Paper Studio)

Instructions: View a larger project image here. Finished size of project is 11" x 16". To begin, paint wooden tray with the Chipotle paint and allow to dry and then paint with the crackle medium. Be sure to follow the directions for the crackle medium that you use. After the crackle medium dries, paint with the Unbleached Titanium Acrylic Paint and allow that to dry completely so that it will crackle! While the tray is drying, you can begin making your Poinsettia flowers. Stamp the Sparkling Poinsettia stamp using Espresso Truffle ink pad onto cherry cardstock 6 times. Die cut with the matching die. Using olive ink pad stamp the leaf image from the Large Sparkling Poinsettia stamp set (6 times) and the largest leaf in the Classic Leaf Cling Stamp set (5 times) onto olive cardstock. Use the matching dies to cut out the leaves. Shape and assemble the flowers adding the gold seed beads and gold rhinestones to the middle of the flowers plus attach the leaves. Cut olive cardstock to 4" x 6" and dry fit into 5 of the openings. Cut the “Christmas Prayer” from the paper collection to fit inside the opening. Also cut the other images and card fronts from the paper collection as shown in the picture. Once the wooden tray is completely dry, you can start assembling this project.

Use scor-tape to adhere the cardstock and card fronts into place as shown. Using a hot glue gun to adhere the flowers and leaves into place as shown. Tie ribbon into a double bow and adhere into place using hot glue to complete project.
