Hello Friends! Today starts the 18th challenge over at the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog. Can you believe that? I know time flies but this is ridiculous! This challenge is called Layer It!
One good way to use your hoard is to use lots of it all at once! So, let's see those layers! We need to see at least THREE layers on your project! (Ink, paint, embossing, and mixed media products do count as layers!) Drag out all of that hoarded paper or those embossing folders that are in the back of the drawer. Use those stamps, dies, and punches! Show us the layers!
Our sponsors for this challenge are Lindy's Stamp Gang and Add A Little Dazzle!
Lindy's luscious luster is all uniquely two-toned! With vibrant shimmery sprays, flat sprays, vintage sprays, embossing powder and lots more!
Add a Little Dazzle is the only website that focuses entirely on teaching you how to incorporate metal sheets into your papercrafting projects. Whether you enjoy stamping, card making, scrapbooking, creating 3D items or Home Decor items – you’ll find all the resources you need to incorporate metal sheets into your crafting.
Here is my project using lots of hoarded supplies and lots of layers!
The base of this project is a piece of cardboard that came with some patterned paper I ordered from an online store. I spritz the cardboard with water and that made it easier to rip the top layer off and expose the corrugated part. I dry brushed some white gesso on the corrugated parts in a few places and the started layering my papers. I used the Graphic45 French Country 8x8 paper pad....I pretty much used what I had left! LOL For the sunflowers, I used the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower PreCut Stamp set and Classic Sunflower dies. I stamped the sunflowers onto some yellow cardstock and die cut them. Then using some orange and red inks, I sponged the edges. I shaped and created the flowers adding some brown micro beads in the centers. I cut the corner die from the Heartfelt Creations Perfect Petal die set, out of gold metal sheets from Add A Little Dazzle and put them at the two opposing corners. I added my Foliage leaves and flowers plus added alittle bow of twine. I also cut some extra tickets and stuff from the patterned paper and added those here and there!
I had alot of fun created this wall hanging! Be sure to visit all the other Craft Hoarders Anonymous Design Team Members to see what they created....their projects are awesome!
