Hello Friends! Today I want to introduce you to a wonderful lady, Cheryl Saforek, owner of the online store Scraptownlady! I met Cheryl through another crafty friend, Patti Gilliam. Scraptownlady is a wonderful online scrapbooking supply store that is located here in Missouri! I love to support my local peeps, don't you?
Cheryl asked me to be a guest designer and sent me some wonderful supplies to work with! Here are two projects I made using those supplies!
First I made a scrapbook page.........
For this layout, I have a few hints and tricks! I used papers from My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found 3 Oliver Collection. For the base of my layout, I used the Ledger Stripe paper. For the next layer, I used the plain side of the White Floral paper and I cut 1" off two sides to create a 11 x 11" piece. I saved those 1" strips to make the rosettes on my layout. I used a paper distressing tool on the edges of this paper. I cut a strip of the Yellow Floral paper and adhered that down. Then using Spellbinders Medallion Six Die D-Lite, I cut/embossed the Yellow Blue Quatrefoil paper 6 times. Here is a trick to help you with this intricate die - place a sheet of waxed paper between the die and the paper you are die cutting. This will allow your die cut to come right out of the die! Here is a close-up of the Medallion Six die cuts and my rosettes.
