Hello Hearfelt Creations Fans! I am so excited to be able to particpate in the monthly blog hop. It has been a long time since I have sat down with my Heartfelt Creations products and created something. A couple of weekends ago, I was asked to work at the Heartfelt Creations booth in Collinsville, IL at the Rubber Stamp show. I had so much fun demoing to all the Heartfelt Creations fans and had alot of fun working with Joel & Mitch (Heartfelt Creations Employees). After looking at all the wonderful samples, I was really inspired to make my project!
If you just started the hop here on my blog, be sure to head on over to Selma's blog to start from the beginning. You don't want to miss a stop along the way of this hop!
This is a $Dollar Spot composition note book that I altered to be a prayer journal. I covered the notebook with Brown Bag Cardstock 65# on the front and back. I used some Chocolate Chip Smooth cardstock for the spine of my notebook. The lace is from the August Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Now for the flowers and collage stamp. I just love how easy it was to shape my flowers. I was skeptical using the Brown Bag cardstock but it worked perfectly! Here is a close-up....
To make my flowers i used the Tattered Blossoms PreCut set . I first inked up my stamp with Versamark ink and then inked it up with Strawberry Slush ink (Stampin' Up!). Then I stamped it onto the Brown Bag cardstock, sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set. Once it was heat set, I die cut the flowers using the matching Tattered Blossoms dies. I used three larger flowers and 2 smaller flowers.
I stamped the Tattered Blossoms Collage stamp twice using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder. The first one was cut/embossed using Grands Labels Four and layered onto the Gold Mirri Cardstock and Chili Smooth Cardstock. The second collage, I fussy cut the leaves for my flowers. Then I inked them up with a sponge and some Pear Pizzazz ink (Stampin' Up!). I adhered them into place using some Zip Dry. I added pearls in the center of my flowers. I added the chipboard word "Pray" that I had painted with Tattered Rose Crackle Paint to the bottom of my journal.
Hope you have enjoyed my project for today's hop! Your next stop is at Lisa Allen's Blog. Have fun and have a great day!
