A True Friend!

Today I would like to share with you a card I made using a new technique that Melissa (owner of The Rubber Cafe') showed on this VIDEO.  It's called Create Your Own Glitter Paper and its a very cool technique using Scrap Happy Sheer Glue and You're So Fine Diamond Clear Cool Highlight Glitter.  Here is the card I made using this fun technique.

For this simple card, I used a new release called True Friend plus my favorite stamp - Large Trailing Butterflies.   Here are a few close-ups of my card.

Here is my project from the Spellbinders™ Idea Gallery.  I made it quite awhile ago and I am so happy that I get to share it with you today!

For this layout, I used S4-386 Cogs die set to cut/emboss some Cork Paper.  If you are unfamiliar with this product, it is a very thin cork that is super easy to cut using the Grand Calibur® and your Spellbinders™ die templates.  I got this cork paper from Cross-Promotional Partner, Creative Impressions.  To see a list of all the supplies used for this project, just click HERE.

Happy Easter!

Yes it is time to think about making some Easter cards.  I know, it kinda snuck up on me, too!  But I sat down at my crafty table and made an Easter card that was alot of fun.  I didn't use the normal ducky, chicks or eggs either.

 

 

I got a new 6x6 paper pad the other day and just loved the colors.  Its BoBunny's Praire Chic and I think the colors are great!.  The first thing I did was cut/emboss the fence using the On The Fence Die template.  Then I stamped the butterflies using Salty Ocean and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks.  After stamping, I covered the whole butterfly with Versamark ink and heat embossed using some sparkly embossing powder. I mixed it up myself!  I mixed together some clear embossing powder with some You're So Fine Diamond Clear Cool Highlight Glitter.  After it cooled off, I fussy cut them out.  I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then cut/embossed it using Ribbon Banners.  Here are a few close-ups.

 

To finish up my card, I added some seam binding and a cute button I found in my stash!  It's not your traditional Easter card but I love the colors!  Hope you have a great day!

Wow! It's March!

Can you believe how fast time flies?  The old saying time flies when you are having fun is so true!  This past week has just gotten away from me.  We had some excitement at our house with my middle daughter having a birthday and my college girl came home for a visit to help us celebrate.  It was great having all the family together!  Needless to say, I put my crafting on the back burner so that I could spend time with all of them.  

But I do have a quick and simple card to share with you today.  I made this card because I thought the stamp matched the papers so well!

See what I mean?  The cute little flower image is Daisy Bouquet.  I stamped the image using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it in using markers.  After coloring the image, I cut/embossed using Labels One #3 (remember #1 is the smallest in the set) and layered it onto a Scalloped Labels One cut/embossed from red cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set.  I did the same procedure for this sentiment - stamped first and then positioned the Labels Four #3 die into place and cut/embossed.  I then cut off the embossed edge so that I could layer it onto the same size Labels Four #3 cut/embossed from red cardstock.  Here are a few close-ups.

This card would be very easy to duplicate and by just changing the sentiment you could have a nice stack of beautiful cards on hand just waiting for you to send!  Hope you have a great day!  Here are the supplies I used with links if you are interested.
