Today we are helping Tami Mayberry end her month long Blast from the Past with a customer blog hop. Tami is an illustrator for Gina K Designs; and, if you haven't been to her blog this month to see all of the featured ideas using her stamp sets, you'll want to be sure and stop by today. You could win FIVE of her stamp sets simply by leaving comments on her blast from the past posts. You can click here to find more details.
You should have come here from Tami Grandi's blog. If not, you'll want to start back at the beginning on Tami's blog because each comment left on the blog participants' blogs will also count as an entry into the random drawing for the 5 stamp sets being given away.
I actually made 2 projects for today's hop. I am not ashamed to admit that I am kinda a Tami Mayberry Stalker.....LOL! I love the style of stamps she designs. They fit my style "just right"!
My first project is a small gift bag that I designed as a table decoration for my daughter's upcoming high school graduation party.
I used Tami's set called Live Life Loud. It's a perfect set for my daughter. She will be going to college in the fall as a Music Performance major and while she won't be studying how to be a rock star, she does love all things musical!
I covered a small kraft bag with some Dotted Swiss Deep Blue Trio cardstock cut/embossed using Grands Labels 4. After cutting and embossing the white layer, I stamped the images using Pacific Point classic dye ink and Antique Linen Distress Ink. I stamped the guitar on a piece of scratch paper, cut it out and popped it up using some foam squares. I stamped the sentiment and then cut/embossed using Labels 20.
My next project is a card I made for my hubby for our anniversary!
For this card, I used Tami's set - Happy Hearts. It's a great set for Valentine's Day but it worked really well for an anniversary card, too. There are all kinds of words to stamp in different combinations and I found that the words fit perfectly on the Ribbon Banner die from Spellbinders.
Now, hop on over and visit Cindy Coutts for more ideas using stamp sets by Tami Mayberry and another chance to win. Also, if you have Tami's stamps and missed the deadline to sign up for the hop you can still play along by leaving a link on her blog. Have fun and good luck!
