Welcome to the First Annual Scrap-Mart.com Blog Hop! IYou should have arrived from my fellow DT sister, Gini Cagle's blog and if not, please go to the Scrap-Mart Blog to start from the beginning. There are 31 blogs participating in the hop and you will find some great prizes along the way. You must comment on THAT blog post to be eligible to win that prize. There are also some Grand Prizes posted on the Scrap-Mart blog. You must comment on EVERY blog throughout the hop to be eligible for the Grand Prizes. Comments will remain open until midnight CST on Sunday, December 5th. Winners will be chosen at random for each individual prize and will be announced on the Scrap-Mart blog on Friday, December 10th. You may only win once. We'd like to thank our sponsors for generously donating all the prizes for this hop: Making Memories, Spellbinders, JustRite Stampers, Sizzix, Heartfelt Creations, Lifestyle Crafts, The Stamps of Life, Boss Kut, Unity Stamps, October Afternoon, Copic, Silhouette America.
If you have followed this hope along you will be coming from my friend, Gini Cagle's blog. I am lucky enough to be a member of the Heartfelt Creations Design Team and have a great Christmas project for you using Heartfelt Creations wonderful stamps and matching dies. Here is my project! You can click on the picture to get a better view.
For this project, I used HCPC 3313 Perfect Petal Medley PreCut set with the matching HCD704 Perfect Petals DieCuts. I stamped the petals using red ink onto ivory cardstock and cut/embossed them using the matching size dies. I wrapped each petal around a pencil to give them a more 3d effect. I layered the petals into place using Craft Glue Dots and added a pearl brad in the center to attach the flower to the S4-294 Beaded Ovals #4 Nestabilities. Behind the flower on my card, I used the new release Window Scene Die cut/emboss using red cardstock. The little box was made from red cardstock using a Scor-Pal. I made a smaller flower and mounted it onto a smaller S4-294 Beaded Ovals #3 Nestabilities. I used the swirl die from the Decorative Butterfly-Border DieCuts and layered that onto a S4-291 Labels Fifteen. I think this color combo of rich red and chocolate brown are my favorite! Here is a close-up of the large poinsettia flower I made.
Now its time for you to hop on over to Eva Dobilas for a fabulous project! Make sure to comment on as many blogs as you can so you will be eligible for the Grand Prizes! Enjoy your hopping and good luck!
And here is the whole line up of the participants. I know this is a long list of designers to visit, but you have plenty of time to visit so enjoy!
