Today is challenge day over at the DRS Designs Blog. The challenge for this Monday is to make a Diorama Card. I haven't made one of these in a long time. Using my Aqua Painter, watercolor paper and some stickles, I had a great time making this card!
You can find a great tutorial on how to make this card on Splitcoast Stampers. I used some really cute DRS Designs images for this card. I did change my diorama card just alittle. Instead of using a circle punch for the cut-out, I used my Petite Ovals Large Nestabilities. I just like the way it looks better plus it was super easy!!
For the background image, I used the Brush Beach Sunrise. I stamped the image using Stazon ink onto Watercolor paper. Using my aquapainter and ink refills, I colored my image. The cute little star fish and sand pail are from the 4 in 1 Beach Background. I colored them the same way and cut them out. For Splash the Dolphin, I stamped him onto Shimmery White cardstock using Staz on ink and colored him with my aqua painter and ink refills. Then after he was dry, I added some stickles over the water to get a really cool shimmer!
This was a fun card to make. You should give it a try! If you do, be sure to post a link over at the DRS Designs Blog! If you haven't checked out the DRS blog in awhile, you will be pleasantly surprised by the new look. Hope you have a great day!
This is such a fun project Debbie!! I love your colors and that fun image!! HUGS
