3 Clips? Wow, how fun!

This is a clipboard from Stampin' Up! that I altered last night.  I am going to put a picture of each of my girls under each clippie.  I still have to stamp their names or something but I think it turned out really good.  I cased the idea from Stampin' Success, a magazine all demonstrators receive from Stampin' Up! After I add the pictures and names I will put another picture up.

Supplies Used:  Clipboard, Cutie Pie Designer Paper, Rose Red Craft Ink, Sponge, On Board Chipboard, Wild Wasabi Double-Stitched Ribbon, So Saffron & Certainly Celery Cardstock.

Here is a card that I made at my up-line, Brenda's house the other day.

This was a card Brenda did for her Stamp Camp this month, isn't it cute?  I thought it would be great as a scrapbook page, too. 

What do you think?

I used the Halloween designer paper from Stampin' Up! to make the Trick or Treat header.  I think it turned out really good.  Boy, do I need to get that Ott Lamp fixed, don't I?

Boo!!

At convention, Jaron Winder showed these really cute boxes he made from cardstock.  Well, I must be a complete dummy cause I can't get these right.  So, the other day, while I was very frustrated, my eyes landed on all those coasters I purchased.  Remember, a few months back that coasters were all the rage?  I have like 100 of them, why I bought them escapes me now!!  So this is what I did with my coasters!

I made Coaster Boxes.  They are so easy.  I think the hardest part of this whole project is waiting for everything to dry.  First you glue the cardstock to the coaster using a gluestick (wait to dry), then you ink up the Simon Upper Chipboard Alphabets in White craft ink and emboss with Iridescent Ice Embossing powder, then stamp your images using the Booglie Eyes Stamp set.  Then put everything together.  It is very easy just alittle time consuming.  The Halloween Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! sure does make this look great, doesn't it?  I found another use for the paper and will share it with you tommorrow. 

I have made a bunch of stuff for my crop on Friday night and I can't wait to show you.  I feel like I am finally starting to get my groove on again since the death of my MIL.  While I knew she was going to die, I guess the whole reality of death is something you can never truly prepare for.  God has been very good to my family and has helped all of us so much.  Thanks for all your emails and nice comments, plus I got some beautiful cards, too.  So I think that is all on that subject for quite awhile.

Thank You Notes and other stuff

Here is a picture of the thank you notes I made for everyone who needed them from my MIL's funeral.  We got those pre-printed kind from the funeral home, but my mother-in-law was too unique to use those generic things so I made my own.  I CASED the card from someone on SCS and changed up the colors.  I think it turned out really well plus allowed me to use the new Wide Rose Grosgrain Ribbon I just bought, too.

Sorry if the color looks a little funny.  My Ott Lamp finally blew a bulb.  I haven't taken the time to order a new one.  I will try to do that this week, sometime.

Getting back to normal?

So I know it sounds stupid but things are getting back to a new normal around here.  We celebrate our first birthday without Grandma Bette today.  Today is Cassie's 7th birthday.  Last night we went to Chuck E. Cheese's and had a great time.  Our friends Ken & Diane came with the boys, my great niece Taylor and Grandpa Jack came, too.  That place is pretty hectic but a fun time was had by all.  Even Grandpa Jack got into the arcade games.  He decided that Chuck E. Cheese is slot machines for kids!!  I thought that was really funny.

So about Stamping?  Haven't been able to bring myself to stamp yet as the next project is making Thank Yous for all the wonderful expressions of sympathy our family has received.  Meals, flowers, Mass Cards plus rides for the kids to football games, etc.  I can't tell you how comforting it is to have your friends show their love in this way.  It reminds me of that song by Kenny Chesney, Tim Mcgraw & some other guy (name escapes me) that goes - "Find out who your friends are"  Do you know that one?  You really do find out who your friends are during difficult times!!

So I will share my stamping when I can bring myself to do it.  I know what I want to make it just makes everything so final, doesn't it?  Talk to you soon.
