RRR October Blog Hop

This is the ribbon assortment for October.  These beautiful ribbons are just in time for Christmas card creating season!  If you aren't a member of the RRR Monthly ribbon club yet, you should definitely check it out!

The project I made for you today was actually pretty fast and easy.  I used some My Mind's Eye - All Is Bright 6x6 paper, a stamp from The Rubber Cafe' and some of this beautiful ribbon.

Like I said this was quick and easy because I let the patterned paper do most of the work!  I stamped the sentiment onto some white cardstock that I cut into a 3/4" strip.  Here is a close-up!

That pretty rhinestone button is from  Pink Paislee.  I just cut 2 strips of the white lace and layered them underneath my knotted ribbon using glue dots.  Then I attached the sentiment and rhinestone button with more glue dots.

RRR & Hampton Arts Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon and Hampton Art Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!  The RRR DT has joined up with the Hampton Art Dt to show you a bunch of fantastic projects using Really Reasonable Ribbon and Hampton Art products!  Special thanks to Hampton Art for sending me Stamps and Ink to use for this hop.

For my project today, I made an accordian card using lots of RRR ribbon and trims plus a wonderful stamp set from Hampton Art called Carpe Diem.  This is a clear stamp set with 14 stamps in the Art Warehouse line from Hampton Art.  Here is my accordian tag card.

This accordian tag card measures 5 1/2" x 10" and is scored at every 2 1/2".  I actually did this in 2 panels so I could cut the top of each panel using a die from the Creative Book pages set from Spellbinders™ Paper Arts.  This is called selective cutting and I can show you this technique in another post if you are interested.  I stamped all over, didn't I?  These clear stamps are really high quality, taking ink very well and were fun to use!

Here are a few close-ups.

 These words are actually 3 different stamps that I put together.  I stamped them onto some Simply Smooth Ivory using Rich Cocoa Memento ink.  Then I used on oval die template to cut/emboss this.  I sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink and layered it onto S5-030 Fancy Tags Two that I cut/emboss from pink cardstock.  I used the Antique Linen Distress Ink on almost every edge of this project.  I stamped the bird using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and fussy cut it out adding stickles after everything was finished!  Those beautiful pink rhinestones are also from Hampton Art Studio G line of self adhesive gems.

RRR August Blog Hop!

Here is my project for today's hop!

 

I needed an anniversary card and thought these colors were just perfect!  I used the new EL-019 Ornamental Iron M-Bossabilities™ and Silver Mirri cardstock.  I just love how the mirror cardstock looks when embossed with the M-Bossabilities™ folder, don't you?  Here are a few close-ups.

I used some amethyst cardstock and S5-086 Bitty Blossoms die templates to make the flowers.  The leaves and the base of the card are made from gray cardstock.  The ribbon is the Diamond Satin Shell Grey 5/8" ribbon from the August Ribbon Club assortment.

RRR July Blog Hop with CardMaker!

Here is my project for today's blog hop.  I made an accordian card (tutorial found HERE on SCS)  using my wonderful Scor-Pal products along with the Really Reasonable Ribbon!  There are some great Scor-Pal products in the RRR store so be sure to check them out!

To hold my accordian card together, I made sure that my ribbon could move around because that will make it easier to tie into a pretty bow.  Here is what I did......

Before attaching the decorated front cover I made sure there was a place for my ribbon to slide?  Clear as mud, right?  This is what it looked like from the front.

Now its time for the inside!  I kept things kinda clean because I didn't want my accordian to be too thick when folded.  I thought the little tags in the pockets would be perfect to write a special note to your best friend!!

To make the pockets, I cut/embossed the S4-375 Scalloped Labels One from the orange cardstock and then cut that in half.  I added some 1/8" score tape around the edges.  Here is what it looked like before I put it in place.

I just cut two slips of white cardstock to slip inside.  I stamped the little flower image and punched a hole for the ribbon.  I added the two flowers and the bling to complete.  Here is what it looks like when folded together and laying down.

RRR June Blog Hop!

Here is what I made with my ribbon!

 

 The hubby's birthday is in July so this will be the perfect card for him!  I used some Basic Grey's PB&J Collection for the patterned paper and letter stickers.  The card is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" square.  I used some 1/4" Scor-Tape to hold the Satin Horizontal Stripe Red ribbon in place.  I tied a bow using the diamond satin blue ribbon.  Here are a few close ups of my card.

Happy Birthday to My Mom!

Hello!  Today is a very special day.  It's my mom's 73rd birthday!  We are celebrating by taking her to the local botanical gardens and then out to lunch.  It will be a great day!   She is an active person and walks 3 miles almost every day.  So we decided an iPod is a great gift for her.  You know I hate to purchase a gift bag for these occassions so I got out a brown lunch sack and got busy!!  LOL

Really Reasonable Ribbon - May Ribbon Club

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon - May Ribbon Club blog hop!  The RRR Design Team Members and Special Event Design Team Members will be showcasing the Monthly Ribbon Club.  Here are the beautiful ribbons in the May club.

Pink and black is one of my favorite color combos so this ribbon is getting used up pretty quickly.  Here is one of my first projects using this month's ribbon.

 

Since its May, I decided I would get busy on those cards and gifts I needed for the graduates we know.  I found this cute metal bucket at the $Dollar Spot in Target.  It had holes punched and a different ribbon in it so I ripped that ribbon out and put my pretty RRR black satin ribbon on it.  Instead of tieing the ribbon into a knot to make the handle, I used some small pieces of Scor-Tape to anchor the ribbon into place.  

Here is the card......

For this card, I used a stamp from Great Impressions.  The sentiment was printed onto white cardstock using the computer.  As you can see, I tied the black ribbon into a bow and then added a flower from S5-105 Floral Tags die template set.

Wow! What a week!

Sorry I haven't posted a project in a while.  Its been a busy week or so.  Getting my daughter home from college, a first communion party to attend plus taking said daughter to oral surgeon and then getting her wisdom teeth removed has taken up most of the week.  But I do have some really neat things to share with you!  I got to create yesterday and I was very happy with how this project turned out.

Here is a project I made using the Ecru Notecards with Envelopes from Discount Cardstock.  I love the weight and texture of these notecards.  They take ink beautifully and I think look super elegant but were very fast and easy to make.

I stamped these pre-folded Ecru note cards using Mudslide Colorbox ink pad and a stamp from the clear set, Gratitude by Penny Black.  I added the strip of Posh Milk Chocolate felt cardstock and used some Sheer Iridescent Champagne Organza Ribbon 5/8" wide to tie a bow.  See quick and easy....because the stamp set is clear, I just eyeballed where to stamp.  They turned out really nice and the inside is blank to I can add whatever sentiment I want.

Also I would like to share with you something I have been keeping a secret for awhile......I am guest designer for The Rubber Cafe for the month of May.  I have been creating with their wonderful stamps and embellishments for the last week and can't wait to share them with you!  Check out The Rubber Cafe Blog for the announcement!

Now I do have a project to share with you.  Using the Genie Bag concept, I covered a lunch bag with some pink cardstock cut/embossed from Grand Labels One Nestabilities.  I don't know what I'm going to put into this bag for my mom.....hopefully, it will be something good!  LOL

For this project, I used some yummy Really Reasonable Ribbon.....this week on the RRR blog its a Mother's Day/Feminine Project challenge.  You should check out the blog post for all the details.

I used Emily White Crochet Lace along the bottom of my bag adding the pearl line after I glued the lace down with Scor-Tape.  The handles of this bag are Diamond Satin White Ribbon 5/8".  

Sorry I am posting in kind of a hurry....this week has been super busy and its only Wednesday!  On Thursday, my hubby and I will be going to pick up our daughter from college for the summer!  I am so excited!  I will tell you all about it when I get back!
