This was a pretty quick project that I think it turned out very elegant! Be sure to check out all the wonderful stamp sets from Our Craft Lounge. There are all kinds of images that will satisfy almost any style!
Today I want to share with you a thank you card I made using the new Flower Soft Wild Flower 2 Die Cut Dimension. For this card, I used the punch out flowers that are included on each sheet in the kit.
I used my dry embossing stylus to give the flower depth and added some Crystal Stickles to the middle of each flower. The sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge set called Notes of Love (CCM104) that I stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink onto a piece of white cardstock that I cut/embossed using Lattice Rectangles from Spellbinders Paper Arts. Even the bottom patterned piece is from the Wild Flower 2 kit. There are so many things you can do with these Die Cut Dimension kits. Here is a close up of my project:

Here is my 8x8 scrap page of my oldest daughter, Colleen. She is graduating from high school in a couple of weeks and this page is going in her album that I have been making for her over the last year.
I used the OCL stamp set called Sunflower Seeds. I thought the sunflowers went perfect with this picture of Colleen. The picture was taken at a local historic covered bridge. I stamped the sunflower image using daffodil ink onto Chamois Cascata Felt cardstock from Discount Cardstock. Using distress ink and distressing tool, I distressed the edges of the strip. I stamped the sunflower image onto the Chamois Cascata Felt cardstock using Rich Cocoa Memento ink. I added some brown chalk in the middle of the flowers and after cutting them out, I sponged around the outside of the flowers. I stamped the sentiment onto the Ribbon Banner and that completes my page. Pretty simple and cute, don't you think?
Enjoy your National Scrapbooking Day! I will be visiting my local scrapbooking store and getting things ready for Mother's Day! Here is the list of blog hop participants in case you got lost:
This week, Flower Soft is having a challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge is called Frilly & Feminine. Make any project which is frilly and girly that uses Flower Soft and upload it onto Splitcoast gallery. You can read the details HERE on Splitcoaststampers.
Here is my card for this fun challenge!
I used the Country Village 3D stackers kit for this card. It is such a fun kit. You die cut all the pieces using Classic Ovals Lg from Spellbinders. Then you stack them together using 3d foam squares. I added some Lilac Flower Soft to highlight the pretty flowers. I added the sentiment from Vintage Roses set (Our Craft Lounge) to make this a Mother's day card. Figure I could kill two birds with one stone, right? LOL
Today I am blogging on the Our Craft Lounge blog. My theme is all about Mother's Day. I challenged myself to take one stamp set and make 4-5 different projects in different styles. It took me a few days to finish and it was really a challenge but I had so much fun!
Here is one of my projects!
I was going for the simple yet elegant look and I actually think I did it! Do you see the pretty pearl bling on the Labels 5 sentiment panel? It's called Nestabling! My LSS - For Keeps Sake - just got a bunch in and its awesome! It's bling (clear or black rhinestones or pearls) in shapes that correspond with Nestabilities!
So go on over to the Our Craft Lounge blog and check out all my projects! Make sure to leave me some love so I know you were there! Talk to you soon!
Here are a few more cards I made using the Our Craft Lounge set - Pins & Needles. I had alot of fun combining the stamp set with the Cosmo Cricket - Material Girls papers. They just go together!
Here is another card:
Now here is a card that I didn't make!! My daughter, Caitlyn made this card. She used the patterned paper that was on my desk and some of my button stash. I think she is giving it to her boyfriend....who is cute but ........ ;)
Hope you have a great Saturday!! We are off to collect stuff for Girl Scout's April Showers. Don't forget to set your bag of hygiene products on your front porch for the girls to pick up!
There is a great challenge going on over at the Our Craft Lounge blog. This week's challenge is a Clean & Simple challenge with a twist. You must use something clear on your project, too.
So clean and simple is a pretty easy challenge for me but the use something clear?......I was stumped. When I was looking around my craft room for something clear to use....I spied my big package of acetate and decided to make a gift bag with an acetate window. Here is my project for this week's challenge.
I used the Our Craft Lounge set called Pins and Needles for this bag. I need to give a small present to a friend of mine for helping my oldest daughter.....so I thought filling this little bag with some homemade cookies would be great, don't you? I cut a circle from the front of the bag using a circle nestabilities. Then I used a piece of acetate for my window. I cut a couple of frames to put around the window. Using some white pigment ink, I stamped the stitches directly onto the bag. Then I stamp the sentiment, pin cushion and sewing machine and mounted those onto die cuts.
While my present won't be a sewing project, I think my friend will appreciate it! Hope you have a great weekend. Check back tomorrow for more OCL projects using Pins & Needles!
Here is a great color challenge from the Our Craft Lounge blog. The colors to use are Dark Brown, White & Teal - some of my favorite colors together! Here is my card for this challenge!
For this card, I used Craft Cling Rubber - Nature's Note and Crafty Clear - Say It Big. The teal accents are die cuts from the Parisian Motifs set from Spellbinders. I found some more lace from my MIL's stash and added some pearl stickers. The butterflies are colored with Copic Markers and cut out. I popped the up using some 3d foam squares and added some Stickles to complete the card. What a great color challenge!
Starting April 1, I am officially a guest designer for Our Craft Lounge for the months of April and May. I got some super cute stamps to play with a couple of weeks ago and have been anxious to get started! I hope you will check out all the great stamps - clear & rubber- that Our Craft Lounge has to offer. I made a project for today that I absolutely love! It's not my usual style but I am so happy how it turned out! What do you think?
I turned an ordinary brown lunch sack into a cute card portfolio. My first step was to fold the bottom of the bag 3/4 of the way up and sewed along the three sides to form a front pocket and back pocket. There are 2 cards in the front pocket and 2 envelopes in the back pocket. The lace, crochet flowers, netting and buttons all came from my Mother-in-Law's stash of goodies that I received after she died. One of the stamp sets that I picked from Our Craft Lounge is very vintage called Vintage Roses. I thought this stamp set would go perfectly with the 8x8 Graphic45 papers - Once Upon A Springtime.
Here are my card portfolios....I couldn't just make one!
Be sure to check out the Our Craft Lounge Blog to see the other Guest Designer that are joining me. Their projects are awesome!
I am working on a tutorial for this project right now but had to set it aside because I am making some samples for the demo I am doing at the Girlfriend's Weekend Scrapbook Retreat given by For Keeps Sake (local scrapbook store). Saturday morning I will be showing how to use the Grand Caliber and Spellbinders Die Templates. My order from Spellbinders came this past Monday and I have been having so much fun playing with the new release dies!!
So if you are signed up for the scrapping weekend, I will see you Saturday. If not, I will have the tutorial up on my blog Monday morning. Talk to you soon!
