Hello friends! I know that it's just October 2 but now is the time to start making your Christmas cards and crafts. To help you, I am going to start a weekly blog post with a card or craft idea for the Holidays. So today I have a fun card to share with you. I created this card using some new stuff from Crafter's Companion that will be available tomorrow on HSN (Home Shopping Network). I really love how this turned out....
Don't you love it? When I saw this set of dies, I just knew what I was going to create! The die set is from the new Signature Collection by Sara Davies - Cute Christmas. The die set is called Santa's Suit. The glittery white cardstock and the Red Mirror cardstock are also in this collection. To make this card, I die cut santa's suit from red cardstock and then from the white glitter cardstock. I die cut his belt from black cardstock. I glued the white glitter cardstock into place so that there would be a bit of glitter without the mess! I used some wooden pegs and silver twine to make it look like his suit is on the clothesline.
The sentiment is a stamp/die set combo called Festive Phrases. It includes all the sentiments you will need to create some seriously cute cards! I die cut the "Jolly" portion from red mirror cardstock and after I adhered it into place, I stamped the rest of the sentiment. You can check out the shopping list for the HSN show on October 3 - HERE!
I will say that this card will have to be hand delivered the way I made it here. But I think if you didn't use the wooden pegs and just some foam tape to position his suit, you could probably get it thru the mail (with extra postage of course).
Hope that my cute card has inspired you to get busy with your crafting!!
