Hello friends! Today is Ash Wednesday. That means that it is 40 days until Easter. Lent is a special time to reflect on the gift of salvation we have received from God thru His Son, Jesus. With that in mind, I created a card using the Flowering Dogwood Collection from Heartfelt Creations.

Cut a piece of patterned paper from the collection to 3 3/4" x 5". Layer these two together with glue. Cut a piece of rose cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5" and use the Eyelet die from the Classic Border Basics die set to add the detail along the top and bottom of this layer. Stamp the Flowering Dogwoods, dove, dogwood branch onto white cardstock using Toffee Crunch Memento Ink. Die cut with the matching dies. Using a sponge, ink up the flowers, branch and dove as shown. Shape flowers using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and add seed beads to the centers. Stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock and die cut using the Label die. Assemble elements as shown. To complete card, tie ribbon into place and glue all layers onto the base of the card.
