Hello friends. Just wanted to remind you to go vote for you favorite design team members to return to the Heartfelt Creations team for this next year. If you want to see me continue on the team, I would really love for you to vote! Here is a link to the blog post where you can find the link - Heartfelt Creations Blog. Thanks so much for all your help!
This week, I have another card using the beautiful Flowering Dogwood collection. I kept my supplies really simple and watercolored the images. I find that so relaxing!
It is really hard to capture it with the camera but I used a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle marker to blend all of my Aqua markers. It adds such a beautiful sheen!
Other Products: Mixed Media Paper – Strathmore; Kraft, Pistachio Cardstock; Timber Brown Black Staz-on ink pad; Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Marker; Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers – Moss, Begonia, Chestnut; ribbon & pearls; 3d foam squares; Labels Twenty Nine – Spellbinder Paper Arts
Instructions: My finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". To begin, cut two pieces of mixed media paper – one piece to 5" x 3 3/4" and the other piece can just be a scrap. Stamp the dogwood flowers stamp onto the large piece of paper using the brown staz-on ink in all 4 corners. Be sure to stamp off the paper for a more realistic look. Stamp the whole dogwood flowers stamp on a scrap piece of mixed media paper. Using the aqua markers and the clear sparkle marker, watercolor the dogwood flower images. Use the Labels 29 die to die cut the whole flower out. Die cut a larger Labels 29 from the green cardstock. Layer the larger panel onto green cardstock and layer the label die cuts together. Wrap the ribbon around the larger layer and tie the ribbon into a bow. Adhere the Label die cuts onto the card using 3d foam squares. Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock using the brown ink pad. Die cut with a tag die and adhere onto the card. Add pearls on each end to complete the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
