We are celebrating the newest release called:
On the Fence Bundle
This bundle comes with a brand new exclusive die template manufactured by Spellbinders™ Paper Arts called On the Fence Die! What makes this die unique? It's versatility! At first glance, you might see just a fence but soon you'll realize it can be so much more. Follow us on the blog hop each day from August 27-31 to find out what all this die can do.
Let's get started. Here's my project for the day:
Using the On The Fence die to make this basket is so easy! To start, I stamped the Woodgrain stamp (from the On The Fence Bundle) using Jasmine Mix'd Media Ink and heat embossed using white embossing powder.
Then using the On The Fence die, I cut/embossed 4 strips that will make up my basket. You will also need a piece of 6x6" cardstock to form the box that supports the fence die cuts. Plus 2 more On The Fence die cuts from plain paper for the handle of the basket.
To make the box that gives the basket it support. Score the 6x6" square at 1 1/2" on all four sides. Prefold and snip up to fold line on 2 sides. See my example?
Using some Scrap Happy Sheet Glue to adhere the box together like this picture shows.
Here is my finished box bottom. You can now wrap the pieces of the On The Fence die cuts onto the box using some foam tape. It will look like this when finished.
Now you can add the handle. To make the handle, I trimmed the On The Fence die cuts. I cut off the peaks so that its just a pretty plain handle. Then I glued both together and adhered the whole thing onto each side of the basket. See the below picture!
I decorated my basket with some pretty lace and ribbons. PLus I added a flower made from Bitty Blossoms die set. I also made a quick tag using the left over piece I had from the basket.
This little basket is perfect for a small gift like cookies or candy. Of course, chocolate chip cookies are something that will cheer up anyone. Hope you will give this little basket a try! There are tons of things to make using the On The Fence Bundle. Make sure to visit my friend, Heidi Blankenship, to see her stunning project using the same die template!
