Gina K. Designs is sponsoring a blog hop challenge. The winner will be the August Special Guest Designer for Gina K. Doesn't that sound neat? I just got some new Gina K stamps so I decided to get them inky! The challenge is to use any of the StampTV tutorials for your project.
Here is my first card. I used the Distressed Newsprint Technique.
For this card, I tore 2 pieces of sheet music out of an old missal from church. I followed the instructions on the video but I did use softer Distress Ink colors. One sheet of the distressed newsprint I used as the background for my card. The other sheet of distressed newsprint, I die cut and made a flower out of it! The stamp set is called Fine Furnishing Additions and Lovely Labels.
For my second card, I used the Highlighting with Nestabilities technique.
For this card, I stamped this beautiful image from Fine Furnishings using rose ink onto some Pure Luxury Pure White cardstock. I cut/embossed using Labels 1 die #5. After I embossed, I left the die in place and using a sponge, applied some Old Paper Distress Ink around the inside of the die. I layered it onto a Labels 1 die #6 cut/embossed from rose cardstock and punched a hole using the slot punch. The crinkled ribbon was some that I colored myself using some water, rose reinker and Iridescent Gold Glimmer mist. I tied the bow using my Bow Easy. (Another great item bought from Gina K.) The pearls are from Zva Creative and the pearl brads are from Eyelet Outlet. The sentiment is from another Gina K. set called Tag Lines.
I had alot of fun looking over all the different technique videos that are on StampTV. I hope you will check them out! Have a great Sunday. Tomorrow I will have a neat card using Flower Soft's new downloadable toppers. Can't wait to show you!
