Altered Projects? Well I haven't always been that great with my Altered projects. Since I have to create one every month for my design team responsibilities its getting easier. I have to say I love to make cards and if I didn't HAVE to do anything else, I probably wouldn't. I am finding that its always a good thing to stretch yourself and try new things!
Here is a basket I altered for Spellbinders Paper Arts™ a few months ago. Its up on the Inspiration Gallery on the Spellbinders™ Website.
I have had this basket for quite awhile. I found it on clearance at Wal-mart and have kept it in the stamp room holding catalogs and such for so long. Well, now I don't have catalogs to use and it was just setting there empty. I used the Snowflake Frameabilities™ in Riding Hood Red and Always Artichoke. I trimmed the some of the details off the artichoke frame and added the snowflakes for more interest. The image is from Crafty Secrets Homespun Cotton Scraps. I trimmed around it and attached it to some chipboard to give it some body before attaching it to the frame. The sentiment is a cotton scrap also that is attached to a Fancy Tag cut in red. I added stickles and brads plus used some awesome wired ribbon I found at Sam's Club last Christmas. Everything was attached to the basket using my glue gun.
I think this would look great sitting on a table holding your Christmas cards that you receive or put your gift to someone in it. You can make just about anything pretty with the help of your Spellbinders™ dies, don't you think?
