Today was a good day. My parents and Keith's Dad got together and purchased a piano for our house! It was delivered today. Here is one happy piano player!!
Cassie just started taking lessons back in October and is loving it. Cassie was very surprised but got a little misty when we told her the piano was from her grandparents. This Christmas we are missing Grandma Bette quite a bit. You just can't help but think about Bette when you think about Christmas and presents. Bette always made sure that every grandkid got what they wanted for Christmas. Granted, she went a bit overboard but she loved giving the kids presents so much. I don't think its the presents that we miss, its the love she gave us with the presents that is missed the most.
I am done with my shopping now I just have to wrap them. Hope you have a great weekend. We will be playing the piano!! LOL

So are you tired of Christmas cards yet? I am alittle tired of making them so when Cassie had a birthday party to go to Saturday night, I was excited to make a regular birthday card! She helped me make the card so I didn't go "all out"! What do you think?
I stamped everything and she colored in the cherries and put the stickles on the tops of the cupcakes. She picked out the colors and the ribbon, too. I thought we did a great job together. I know she was really proud. I loved the little message she wrote inside to her friend. It was so cute.

My mom needed some cards to send out so I made her 25 cards today. I CASED a good friend of mine, Roberta Layton, because its a great card and I didn't want to spend time designing something. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful card with me, Roberta!!
I just got this stamp set with my pre-order stuff last week. I am not allowed to show you the things I have made from my pre-order because Stampin' Up! won't let me, but I will tell you this, I love all the new stuff. I can't wait until the new catalog gets here!!
I used some ribbon I found at Sam's for my card and I think it works pretty good! I stamped the Cardinal image using Riding Hood Red on Very Vanilla Cardstock and then using a 2-way glue pen added some Dazzling Diamonds. Then I punched out the image using the 1 3/8" circle punch. This is the Scallop Edge medallion technique from Splitcoast Stampers. Its easy and really pretty. Nothing too hard on this card because I made 25 in about 2 hours!
Supplies Used: Christmas Cardinal, Garden Green, Very Vanilla & Riding Hood Red cardstock; Riding Hood Red Classic Ink pad; Scallop Edge, scallop circle & 1 3/8" circle punch; non-SU ribbon.

This stamp set is my all-time favorite. I needed a special card to submit to a new stamp company for a guest designer position. I did get the "job" of Card of the Month in Feb. So I will let you all know when, where and all the stuff as it gets closer!
I just recently purchased this Basic Grey Wassail patterned paper. It matches Always Artichoke and Ruby Red really good. I have never bought any Basic Grey paper before but I just love this pack!
Also I have another plug for Watercolor Paper. I cut out my circle using my Nestabilities and then I stamped my image using Staz-on. I used my aquapainter and ink refills to color this image. I really do better using the aquapainter than the Copic Markers.

The colors don't look exactly right in the picture but in real life this looks pretty cool. Yes, its busy but its a pretty busy!!
I used the set Poinsettia Christmas from Verve for the flower but everything else is Stampin' Up!. After stamping my flower, I cut it out and covered it with Crystal Effects. The sketch challenge was a really good one for using up some scraps! I used a corner punch that is retired from Stampin' Up! but I can't remember its name, sorry.

I am taking the weekend off as Colleen is trying out for the All-State Concert & Jazz Band this weekend. So back in Feb. of this year, I bought 6 white mailboxes fully intending to do something with them for Valentine's Day. As you probably know the story, I didn't get to it. Well, as I was cleaning the other day, I ran into the mailboxes and had an idea.

This was pretty time-consuming to make but I think its cute. Especially for someone's work desk or something like that. I wish I had a stamp that said - Santa, Stop Here! Wouldn't that look good?
